                                         2008 HOA  Print competition                                               HOAPPA Annual Regional Print Competition

                                                 One of the highlights at HOA is the Regional Affiliated Print Competition
                                                  and Print Exhibition.  PPA state members of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and
                                                  Nebraska are invited to submit entries for this competition.  All entries
                                                  achieving a score of 80 or more points are automatically accepted into PPA’s
                                                  Annual Print Competition.  Once received by PPA, sealed entries from the
                                                  regional competitions will be judged for acceptance into PPA’s Loan Collection. 
                                                  Any entry that is sealed at a regional must be submitted to the PPA judging
                                                  before any merits are issued.

 Participation in print competition is your chance to hone your skills as a professional.  Hundreds of images will be entered in this Regional Affiliated Judging.  Both prints and CD album entries will be accepted for this competition.  Several new awards have been added this year.  The print rules have a list of all the awards and their criteria. All Awards will be presented at the HOA and State Awards Gala on Monday, April 14, 2008.

 A few rules have changed for 2008 as well.  Now multi-maker and single maker albums will be judged together and the number of canvases has been reduced for CD album entries.  In addition, albums are now divided by classification. Event album entries are for time sensitive social events such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc.  Non-event albums are for portrait and story telling images.
